KINGDOM GYMNASTICS TRUST
Kingdom Gymnastics Trust was founded in June 2008, as a partnership between three groups, with the aim of encouraging participation in the sport of gymnastics across Fife and to develop and run a full-time Gymnastics Centre in the former drill hall building in Bruce Street Dunfermline.
The three partner groups which comprise Kingdom Gymnastics Trust (KGT) are:
Carnegie Spartan Gymnastics Club
Fife Gymnastics Network
Zodiak Gymnastics Club
The Gymnastics Centre is a permanent fully equipped training facility capable of providing for the whole range of gymnastics training from basic movement and skills right up to national competition levels.
KGT runs a wide range of pre-school and after-school (primary school age) recreational classes to introduce children to gymnastics skills following the British Gymnastics Award Schemes. These programmes help children to develop confidence, balance and coordination. All classes are staffed by coaches trained and qualified to the appropriate British Gymnastics standards.
In addition, KGT organises recreational gymnastics activity sessions during school holidays - and great fun is had by all.
During evenings and at weekends, the three partner groups run their own training sessions in the Centre to prepare gymnasts for entry to all kinds of competitions and displays at various levels organised by Scottish Gymnastics and British Gymnastics. These groups also operate within the standards and regulations of the National Governing Bodies of the sport.
Over recent years, gymnasts from these groups have achieved success at national and international events.
Kingdom Gymnastics Trust, and the Bruce Street Gymnastics Centre, continue to develop and flourish in providing a wide range of gymnastics opportunities for the children and young people of Fife.
